2011 Snowmobile Season

Some years are just better than others - And the 2011 snowmobile season was one of our Dad's best. For starters Mother Nature blessed the land and Dad with blankets and blankets of snow often and early. Because Dad was so good, last year for Christmas Ole' Kris Kringle surprised him with an M1000 Artic Cat snowmobile with a 153in. track with 165 hp (Can you say, "power baby!"). Because he was so sweet and nice to his wife she afforded him to ride often, long & hard mostly in Island Park with his semi pro Artic Cat team from Jerome Idaho (Uncle Gary & friends). Did I mention how good the snow was? Record breaking! 7 feet on the valley floor in Island Park! Dad rode over 750 miles in three different states, snowmobiling from Mt. Jefferson to Two Tops and back. From Strawberry to Lake Creek oh how good was the riding. Of course there were a few spills and chills along the way and trees that had to be cut down because he tried to go over them, but mostly just powder pleasers for the crowds. For the time being before Dad ran out of gas money and time and he had to come home to the crying kids and the task oriented OCD wife and before he became Elder's Quorum President you could say he was for a season -

On top of the World! Ghost Rider.
The Payaso Loco - The Crazy Clown! This was a close call.

Ride it like a rental - Tom!

The Hunies!

To the sweetest, dearest wife in the world.

Can't wait until next year!

The Rob Meier, my dad wants me to play like Jimmer Ferdette Basketball Camp

After Jimmer Ferdette's amazing performance against the University of Utah, 47 points, we decided to start practicing, so we too can play like Jimmer one day. We started with putting on our own basketball clinic in the garage. The practice consisted of three different skill areas - Free throws - Slam dunking - Jump shots/Layups. The clinic lasted a good hour and a half. The half time snacks enabled us to practice for the duration. We are currently looking to play against another team, if you know of any please send them our way.

Lake Powell 2010

After the flash floods and tornadoes the skies cleared and so did Lake Powell of all visitors - but not us we stayed and had the time of our lives and the entire lake to ourselves. The water was warm, smooth and clear like glass. The beaches were soft and spongy beneath our feet.
October is truly Lake Powell's best kept secret.
Enjoy the pictures.
Special thanks to Kaptain Kory who picked us up during the hail storm and didn't get us lost in the dark while looking for the house boat like he did with the Benders. Also, thanks again Kory for scaling the sandstone walls with your long toenails during the wind storm to rescue the boat. Sorry I couldn't help, but nature calls. And one more big last thanks again for Kaptain Kory for his dancing before he put on his wet suit with out his suit on.
And this is Kaptain Kory! Thanks Kory.

Summer Boating

Even though the boat was dirty and Robbie was concerned how the boat, or how the owner of the boat could let it get so dirty; Summer boating this year was a blast! Too bad we didn't get invited more. Maybe if we bring more ribs then we'll get an automatic invite every time.Uncle Kory to the rescue! He did dumped them so he gets to rescue them. Hey! Some one had to take the pictures

And they thought we were weird.

Toe Dipping. I saw Micheal Jackson do this once - it's real fun. The kids love it.
Nice tan Honey.

Buy us a boat dad.... pleaseeee!

"Party Time!" Robbie's 7th Birthday

"Party time!" was shouted as the kids caught big air on this two story slip n' slide provided by Fun Services. The slip n' slide was wild and wet, although there were minor injuries non were reported to the authorities so the slide stayed open even though it was well over occupancy capacity.
